Building Our Future, Honoring Our Past

Impacting Childrens Lives Forever

Greetings Nobles and Ladies!

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving.  Diana and I went to her sister’s house for the feast and fun times with family.  Our youngest daughter and her boyfriend braved the weather traveling here from Denver with their dogs.  Our oldest daughter hosted our immediate family Thanksgiving dinner and we had a great time.  So much to be thankful for.

Our Mystery trip was such a wonderful experience.  We had 37 people and the hosts kept us in the dark until we reached our destinations.  We stopped several times to tour historic landmarks and ate some fabulous food on our trip.  Wish you all could have been there with us...it was fun.

The holiday season is well underway and if you watch any TV or listen to the Radio, you can’t avoid the commercial bombardment.  It’s time for giving.  Take a moment to touch someone in need during this holiday season.  There are plenty of people in our community that are in need of a hand up.

As we embark upon this final month of 2019, I feel a certain anxiety for our future.  The Board of Directors of the Shrine have worked very diligently this year to make some positive changes with the future in mind.  There are a lot of differing opinions about what should be done to preserve our great fraternity for the forever future.  One thing is for sure.  We are going to survive.  It’s a new decade for positive growth.  Let’s all work together to ensure success!  Success for our Units & Clubs, success for the Shrine.

Our December 10th Stated Meeting will be our 2020 Elections.  We need everyone to show up to cast your vote.  The selection of our future leaders is an important endeavor.

January 4th will be our Noble’s Appreciation Dinner here at the Shrine.  If you have spent time helping as a volunteer for any Shrine activity this year, we want you to come have dinner with us.  It’s our way to say Thank You!

Diana and I wish each and every one of you a very Happy Holiday season and a Happy New Year.  You have all helped make our year a joyous experience.

Thank you all so very, very much,

Doug Voss, Potentate
